archiemcphee: Simply watching Adventure Time is often enough to make us hungry for sweets, but now we have an actual edible Candy Kingdom to tantalize our tastebuds. This mouthwateringly awesome Gingerbread Candy Kingdom was made by Redditor IHaveAFluffyCat (who actually does have an adorable fluffy cat). The amount of time, effort, and candy that went into this work of edible art is amazing. It’s beautifully detailed from top to bottom, but we’re particularly impressed by the Gumball Guardians, whose sugar glass heads contain real gumballs. Adventure Time Volume Five Today marks the release of Adventure Time’s newest trade paperback, collecting a run of the comics from the terrific BOOM!! Studios series. The book, volume the fifth, is written by Ryan North and drawn by Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb. Princess Bubblegum only wants what is best for her kingdom… most of the time. After an experiment of hers goes wrong, Ooo is under attack and this time, Finn and Jake won’t be able to help. Princess Bubblegum must stand up and fight her own creation, but with the help of Marceline and… Lemongrab? It shouldn’t be too hard to save the day, right? It would look pretty good on your bookshelf next to Volume Four, probably. Cover by Scott Maynard.

A big round of applause for the best art director (and maybe the nicest guy) in cartoons, Adventure Time’s Nick Jennings. Nick on Saturday picked up his Individual Achievement in Animation award at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony in L.A. for his work on the show, specifically the episode “Wizards Only, Fools.” Nick’s been on the series since the beginning, so it makes the honor that much more special. Thanks, Nick, and congratulations. See Nick’s thanks here.

All the nockFORCE music EVER

ianjq:

jimforce:

hey so early this summer i posted all the nockFORCE ep’s on tumblr. i wanted to make a master post of all the links for anyone who missed them or might be interested. also so it can all just be in one place

The First EP

The Junior Novelization

The Siege at Death Mountain Mixtape

nockFORCE 3 Battlefight: the official videogame

Here is the music of two dudes who liked to chill, make music, and make cartoons. hope you enjoy it and enjoy having these tracks all over again if you hadn’t gotten them all ready.

From my collaborator Jim Gisriel, a masterpost of all the music we made for nockFORCE.

nockFORCE was this flash cartoon we made back in the day… we created alteregos who were wannabe superstar rappers. So we actually made some music. The music and the cartoon are definitely amateurish but we were just learning how to be productive and make stuff and I think a lot of our collaborations actually worked. I learned a lot about making stuff. We forced eachother to have good work ethic and it was pretty much one of the funnest and most creative stretches of my life.

Hoo boy it’s been a while! Maybe I’ll post some more ancient nockFORCE stuff.

Before his Cartoon Network career on Adventure Time and Steven Universe, Ian Jones-Quartey produced one of the most special cartoons of the day with his partner, Jim Gisriel. It’s just a matter of public service we reblog All the nockFORCE music EVER for not only longtime fans but also anyone new to the world of nockFORCE.

cartoonhangover: cartoonhangover: The creators of Manly, Jesse and Justin Moynihan, are doing a Reddit AMA this Sunday 6pm EST August 3rd. Ask them anything!  This is happening today! Don’t forget to head over to Reddit to ask Jesse and Justin Moynihan anything!  Adventure Time writer/board artist Jesse Moynihan is teaming up with his brother Justin for a Reddit AMA at 6:00 p.m. EDT today (Sunday, 8/3). While they’ll be talking primarily about their own cartoon, "Manly," we’re sure Jesse will answer any burning questions you may have about his new Forming II as well as what life is like as an Adventure Time crewmember.

cartoonhangover: Adventure Time storyboard artist and writer Jesse Moynihan along with his brother musician and Adventure Time composer Justin Moynihan have created Manly in which they have described as “Silver Surfer meets Star Trek Next Generation, with the violence of Fist of the North Star and the tenderness of the Little Prince”. Now stop reading the description and check it out for yourself! If you dig Jesse Moynihan’s work on Adventure Time (of course you do), then you might enjoy this pleasant little cartoon from him and his brother, Justin. It’s called “Manly,” lasts about six minutes, and has a wee dollop of brutality. It’s quite good!
