Bravest Warriors Paperback Due in August
BOOM! is announcing the very first Bravest Warriors trade paperback will hit shelves this summer. This first volume will gather the first four issues of the monthly comic from Joey Comeau & Mike Holmes and Ryan Pequin. Plus, it’ll sport this brand new (pretty terrific) cover by Tyson Hesse. Let’s hope there will be some available down at Comic-Con in July.

Original art of the first 5 pages of Adventure Time #15 are up on ebay!
Issue 15 marks the first time we (series artists Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb) have done traditional art for the interior of the comic. All the art we’ve done for previous issues has been entirely digital. What does this mean? Just that this is the first time original art has been available from our work on the feature storyline! Pretty flippin’ rare and wonderful, eh?

Adventure Time Comic up for an Eisner Award
The Eisner Awards are comics’ Oscars, handed out at San Diego’s Comic-Con in July. And, hopefully, one (or three) will be handed out this year to Ryan North, Shelli Paroline, and Braden Lamb for their wonderful work on Adventure Time, the comic, newly nominated for Best New Series. The category’s nominees:

It’s another very strong issue by Natasha Allegri. “Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake” #3 has some hilarious jokes that alone make the issue worth picking up. My favorites are some digs at the masculine vanity of Prince Gumball and Marshall Lee, a joke about vampirism and the mostly visual punchline of Fionna’s wish being granted.
Hats off to Natasha for another job well done. We can’t wait for #4.

“Bee and PuppyCat” creator Natasha Allegri (oh, yeah, she’s also the woman behind Adventure Time’s Fionna & Cake) is hanging out in Seattle this weekend as part of the BOOM! Studios contingent of A1 artists at the Emerald City Comicon. Natasha will be signing her Fionna & Cake comics today (Friday) at 3:00 p.m., tomorrow at noon, and Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

Adventure Time #13 and the Love It Creates
There’s a lotta love going around for the latest issue of BOOM!’s Adventure Time comic.
From the brains and hands of Ryan North, Shelly Paroline, and Braden Lamb comes an issue so mesmerizing, Chris Sims from Comics Alliance raves, “But seriously, you guys? This week’s issue is so great. So great, in fact, that it might just be my favorite of the series so far.”
And Comic Book Resources’ Kelly Thompson sez, “It’s also incredibly refreshing to see some great comics for kids that are also so effortlessly enjoyable for adults. “Adventure Time” gets it right.”
